Members
The aim of the project consists of the development of a friction law and the identification of appropriate tribological systems for bulk sheet metal forming processes. The friction law has to consider the locally varying and time dependent load conditions which are typical for bulk sheet metal forming, the influence of surface topographies of tool and workpiece and the lubrication conditions. For a specific manipulation of the material flow which is necessary for forming complex bulk sheet metal parts, adequate tribological systems will be developed, especially by applying tailored surfaces.
