Quality Assurance and Quality Management (funding period 2)

Only a sustainable and robust production guarantees all advantages, which are provided by the sheet-bulk metal forming technology. Therefore it is not enough to be able to produce highly complex workpieces, moreover the construction’s specifications concerning the dimensional accuracy and the quality have to be met to avoid wastage.

As a common aim the working group quality assurance / quality management is going to support the commutation about workpiece quality and provides methods for a save and robust production. For this projects from each phase of the product development are engaged.

Quality assurance considers process control, which contains the topics measurement techniques as well as the selection of appropriate inspection strategies. Quality control loops help to detect input and output factors together with disturbing influences.

With the working group quality assurance / quality management a professional exchange of information and knowledge is ensured, which enables efficient process improvements. Basis for this exchange is the commonly defined and constantly updated glossary. Thus a clear communication of experts’ knowledge is possible. Moreover a sensitization for the topic “quality” is supported.
