Modeling and Simulation

The working group „Modeling and Simulation“ established with the launch of SFB/Transregio 73 to cope with the rising significance of simulation in forming processes. By connecting the projects in the field of mechanics with those in the forming technology, it is an interface between simulation and practice. The main scope is the transfer of theoretical results for the implementation in practice. Furthermore, the working group coordinates the cooperation between different projects. This includes but is not limited to the coordination of a collaborative simulation benchmark to take into account the impact of failure and wear.
